2. He wanted to live in Minnesota: Kris hoped to at least spend some of the year in his home state, but Kim never wanted to leave Los Angeles.

3. He didn't get along with her family: The Kardashian bond is strong, and Kris just never fit in.

4. He partied too much: When Kim was busy promoting her brand, Kris was busying spending money at nightclubs.

5. He wanted to be famous: Kris reportedly hired a publicist and wanted to step out of the shadow of his famous wife.

6. He sleeps with his dogs: Kim didn't want Kris' canines in bed and more than that, sources tell us he was messy!

He was reported to be 'blindsided' at the news that his wife Kim Kardashian was filing for divorce, and even vowed to fight to save the marriage. But now Kris Humphries is admitting defeat, according to reports. 'He will be signing the papers,' says a source close to the 26-year-old basketball star told People.

Just two weeks after his wife Kim Kardashian filed for divorce, Kris Humphries jumped a plane and headed back to NYC on Nov. 14. Once he was back in the Big Apple, Kris headed to Serafina — the restaurant he used to go to all of the time with Kim — to grab a bite to eat with some friends. While Kris was surrounded by buddies, he still seemed miserable without Kim by his side! Kris was really unhappy. “He seemed really sad,” describes a witness. “He was talking low and seemed very mellow. His friends seemed to be supporting him.”

The source told the website that Humphries is working on moving on from the split and added that recent reports which stated he was refusing to sign the divorce papers were untrue. Shortly after Kim filed for divorce on October 31, Humphries told TMZ he wanted to save his marriage.

'I'm committed to this marriage and everything this covenant represents,' he said. 'I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce. 'I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.' Meanwhile, his estranged wife Kim Kardashian has been keeping a low profile in Los Angeles.

Yesterday, she took to her blog to apologise to fans for her 'break' from updating and thank them for their support over the past two weeks. She wrote on Celebuzz: ''I took a break from blogging for a while, but I’ve missed you guys so much and I want to start sharing my updates with you all again. 'I’ve been reading all your comments on here and, as always, my loyal blog dolls have been nothing but supportive. 'It's the best time of my life': Kim Kardashian gushes about Kris Humphries just weeks before split

It was only a few weeks before Kim Kardashian would shock fans by filing for divorce from husband Kris Humphries, just 72 days after their spectacular TV wedding. But the 31-year-old reality star gave no clue that anything was amiss in an interview with the U.S. Marie Claire magazine, which is published in this month's issue. Kim waxed lyrical about her basketball player husband, as well as pose for some stunning new photographs, which show off her curvy figure to the maximum.

Kim firmly dismissed the then widespread rumours of a split, telling the magazine: 'I feel like where we're at right now is the best time in my life.'

She also spoke in glowing terms of Kris and their relationship.

'I’m not worried about him at all,' she said. 'We have a lot of trust, and I don’t think either of us would do anything to break that. It makes life so easy.

'He’s such a good guy; he is so down-to-earth, and it’s such a reality check. He is a normal guy, and I just want to chill out and be normal and not get glammed up all the time. 'He gets it. Sometimes my life can be really intimidating for people, but he allows me to work and do what I’ve gotta do.'

Kim and Kris tied the knot on August 20 in a fairytale ceremony in Montecito, California, which later aired on a two-part special on U.S. network E!

'I felt like if I didn't show the wedding, it would be upsetting for people who have taken this journey with me,' Kim told the magazine about her decision to televise the nuptials.

She also defended her decision to get married so quickly.

'We felt like, "Why wait?"' she explained. 'It's fun to have a partner who understands your life and lets you be you.'

Kim would not comment to the magazine about money, but her wedding is reported to have grossed the Kardashian clan a whopping $18 million, with the family's empire earning them $65 million last year. The star also made mention of her rarely discussed short marriage to music producer Damon Thomas when she was just 19-years-old - their union ended in 2004 after four years.

'I learned so much from it: who I wanted to be, who I never wanted to be,' she recalled.

'I learned how to cook and do a lot of marital things. It definitely taught me what being a wife is all about.'

The star has been laying low after filing for divorce, although her estranged husband was spotted in New York yesterday. He is reported to be prepared to sign the divorce papers despite initially saying he would fight for the marriage and do 'whatever it takes to make it work.'

A source close to the sports star told People: 'He will be signing the papers.'
