Ryan Gosling & Eva Mendes Romance Each Other In Paris

The pair look content and happy as they walked hand in
hand in the chilly winter weather
The one and only Ryan Gosling, 31, surprised Eva Mendes, 37, by flying to Paris on Friday to spend the weekend with her. She's been in the City of Light filming her new movie, Holly Motors, and was "totally shocked" by her boyfriend's visit, a source tells Us Weekly.

"They were talking all the time so she had no hints that he was coming," another friend tells the magazine. "She was really homesick and missed him, even though she practically just left to shoot!"

The new couple's très romantique Parisian weekend involved a stroll through the famous Pere-Lachaise Cemetery, a tour of the Catacombs of Paris, dinner at Jules Verne on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, and many tender hand-holding and hugging moments.

"They were holding hands and there was a lot of tenderness between them," an onlooker tells People.

Eva was one of the luckiest women in the world as she strolled through the streets of Paris and visited the Eiffel Tower cosied up to her man Ryan. Looking content and smitten with the actor, Eva is making many women green with envy as she continues to parade around with one of the sexiest men alive.

And as if that wasn't enough, The Notebook star carried a single red rose for his lady and looked like he didn't want to be anywhere else in the world. The pair dined at the Jules Verne restaurant on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower before taking a stroll. At one point the couple stopped and looked up at the majestic French landmark and Ryan put his arm around Eva and pulled her in for a hug.

They are starring in ‘Place Beyond the Pines’ together, but have been seen holding hands and enjoying several vacations together.Ryan and Eva were spotted kissing in L.A. last month. They continued their hand holding in the Charles de Gaulle airport on Sunday.

the sexiest men in the world by People magazine
Dressed in a classic cream coat and dark boots, Eva bundled up for the cold winter weather but it seemed her romance was also keeping her warm. The 37-year-old actress seemed completely blissed out as she strolled through the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris with Ryan. The couple looked like they had stepped from the pages of an advert during their hand-in-hand sightseeing trip.

She wore a camel-coloured trench coat, black hat, suede boots and pea green trousers during their afternoon out. He looked like a chic hipster in a navy peacoat and colourful scarf, scuffed shoes and black denim jeans, but had his right hand bandaged up. The two shared several intimate moments as they snuggled into one another while strolling around the graveyard, where Jim Morrison, Oscar Wilde, Honore de Balzac, Maria Callas, Isadora Duncan and Edith Piaf are buried.

Ryan Gosling: One of the sexiest man alive
People magazine's choice of Bradley Cooper over Ryan Gosling as "Sexiest Man Alive" drove Gosling's fans nuts. A swarm of Gosling's fans took to social network sites after the announcement last week in protest. In addition to an online petition asking People to admit its "huge mistake," a Facebook page titled "Pro-Gosling People Magazine Protest" allows fans to voice their feelings.

About a dozen Gosling fans stood in the rain before People magazine's office building on Sixth Avenue Thursday afternoon wearing masks bearing the actor's famous face. Among the protesters' signs were this one: "Ryan Gosling's dog has a Mohawk. Bradley Cooper doesn't even have a dog," the New York Daily News reported.

"It's grievously unfair to Ryan and his fans that he wasn't chosen as this year's sexiest man alive," a protester told the Daily News. "It also shows how out of touch People Magazine is with mainstream culture. If we can't trust People Magazine, then who can we trust?"

In addition to acting in several movies in recent months, the actor recently broke up  a street fight in New York City, then said he was "embarrassed" by the attention he got for his heroics.

But the magazine is resolute in keeping Cooper on its cover, telling the News: "We stand by our man! Bradley Cooper is the whole package. He's gorgeous, talented, brainy, loves his mom, can cook up a storm and speaks fluent French! Who can argue with that?" True to the Hollywood adage, the show must go on.
